Hi Andrew, it's that guy that you donated 45 of your Snow Snow For Lucy DVDs to (At least 35 have been freely distributed to friends across the country). It's been a long time since we've talked. I wanted to check and see how you were doing since our last e-mail correspondence in February and March of 2009.

I say it time and again, but Andrew, your writing in regards to the human emotion is extraordinary. You're still very young, and have plenty of time to make a big splash on this planet Earth. I love the animations, but it's your unique writing that takes your works from great to absolutely revolutionary.

I wish 2D animation in theaters were not a dying breed. Even at Don Bluth's peak in the early to mid 80s where he was approaching 50 years old, you are easily already at his level. You've proven that you can write excellent live-action short films, but the animation industry needs your help. If they could only see the potential in you that I see and many others see, you'd already be writing summer blockbusters, best-selling novels, or something equally incredible by the time you're 30. (Newgrounds says you're 39, but I know that's not your age. You are wise beyond your years.)

Never give up. I don't read the guy's work as I'll explain later, but for an example, Stephen King didn't get his big break until he was nearing 30. He had to write a ton of short stories, novellas, and whatever over a period of 14 years before he received his first big break in landing a major publishing deal with his novel "Carrie" in 1973. Others didn't make it to the big-time until they were in their 30s or even 40s. At such a young age, I know that you can be one of the best writers of our time of any media. Books, graphic novels, movies, animation, video games. You could revolutionize any one of them, or all of them.

Other than Japanese Manga, I don't read books. National Novel Writing Month is is November. The purpose is to write a 50,000 word novel over a span of 30 days. I wanted to attempt the challenge, but I've been distracted by 7 years of nerve damage that went undiagnosed until April 2011. I don't know where I'm really going with this since I've become a rambler after my nerve damage treatment. It's one of the reasons why I didn't contact you for three years. Someday, if you write a short story or any literary work, please e-mail me. (If you don't have my e-mail on record, let me know and I'll contact you by e-mail, assuming you still use the snowsnowforlucy e-mail addy, or if you prefer, the address involving an alligator and a second word)

There seem to be only two people on this planet that can turn a random character from a line-drawing into a fleshed-out, three-dimensional character that people care about. Lauren Faust and you, Andrew Kerekes. Lauren was a key part in the development of cartoons such as The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, being a jack-of-all-trades by being the storyboard artist, writer, director, and so on for PPG. She was more involved with Foster's Home, and then created the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which is in my opinion the best cartoon made since Batman: The Animated Series. Lauren is 38 years old.

Anyway, the whole reason I'm talking about this is because I haven't heard from you in a while, and hadn't seen many new works since Snow Snow For Lucy. The games you made have been fun. Memohuntress was certainly a delightful experience thus far. What makes that game so great isn't the platforming or the item-finding, but just taking in your surroundings and seeing everything that's going on in the background.

Friend, your art and animation are great. I agree with those below that constantly say that, because it is a fact. However, your greatest strength is your writing. Your ability to make me care about a character in such a small amount of time is completely incredible.

You have limitless potential. You are a man of many talents, and someday, somehow, you will break through and I feel you will be regarded as one of the greatest writers and/or artists/animators of the 21st century, whether it be in movies, books, animation, graphic novels, or all of the above. I know that you self-efface yourself about one of your early works, "Hug Me To The Skies," but it was that one flash animation from 2007 that showed me you were way, way different than anyone else out there, and when Snow Snow For Lucy came out, I saw the future of the entertainment industry.

Once I get back to full health and also get rid of some memory problems, I'm going to do everything in my small, practically insignificant power to help you. This is the internet age, and if it takes a grassroots movement to get you noticed by Hollywood and New York, then dammit, that's exactly what I'll do.

Thank you for showing me that there's hope for the future. There are many things that kept me alive through the nerve damage. The thought that there is a revolutionary writer out there that I can help was one of them.

Since my short-term memory sucks, I've already wrote it down on a Post-It note. "Make Andrew Kerekes a household name by 2020".

I believe in you. And now, it's about time I got off my sorry ass and get 25,000 to believe in me once again. I'm not 100% cured, but screw it, 60% is close enough and I have work to do. I lost sight of my motivations, and this random rambling of mine helped me remember. #1: Use my unexpected popularity to help others. That has always been #1, and I had forgotten that for 2½ years.

It's amazing how much you've helped me without me even finishing this post that you may even read months later.

You're one of the most incredible creative minds of our generation, and don't let anyone, including yourself, convince you otherwise.

Have an awesome evening. I know it's only 5PM in that time zone, but here in my city sometimes the sun sets at 8:45, and at the other end of the year it sets before 4:30. Ah, but there's the rambling again.

2010 and 2011 are still mostly a blur, but this post has helped me remember a lot about my goals and my mission.

Thank you for your time. You've got a four-year head start on me, but let both our goals be to aim for the stars. I strayed far from the path, but I think I can see the yellow brick road just ahead. I hope I find my way back tomorrow morning. I haven't seen it in 32 months, or perhaps even 90 months after this whole nerve damage mess started, but I can see it now.

Once again, have an awesome evening. Thank you for your time.
